When we launched our Nexoris Platform project in 2017, we had no idea how, or to what extent it would transform our business and even our positioning.
With more than three years of hindsight, we can say that this transformation translated not only into the growth of our community of freelance experts — multiplying our sourcing capacity — but also into new partnerships with IT Services Companies and consulting firms, who found in Nexoris an alternative sourcing solution as well as placement opportunities for their resources on the bench.
Creating Nexoris was also a catalyst to win new approved-supplier listings for our traditional Talent Sourcing business. And this month, we are pleased to announce that Nexoris has been added to La Poste group's approved supplier list. A new client listing that has a very special flavour for us.
First approved-supplier listing for the Nexoris Platform
This listing in fact concerns the Nexoris Platform specifically. The selection process was launched after more than a year of in-depth analysis of the freelance platform market by La Poste group's procurement team, with the goal of complementing the group's existing sourcing channels through its IT Services Company and specialised firm partner pool, and standardising the way it engages independent experts. Several lots were at stake, covering different digital and consulting domains as well as financial-sector roles. Without the platform, we simply could not have taken part in the selection.
First approved-supplier listing outside the financial sector
Nexoris aims to expand its business beyond the financial sector, and this listing is a first step towards that goal, since it covers La Poste group as a whole and not just La Banque Postale and its insurance and asset management subsidiaries. For Nexoris, it represents an opportunity to open up more assignments to our community, which now counts a growing number of IT specialists, PMOs and project managers, as well as management controllers and consolidation accountants who can deliver their services to many sectors beyond finance.
The selection criteria behind this listing
Several criteria contributed to Nexoris being selected by La Poste group.
The first, of course, was the fit between our community and the specifics of the lots on offer. Nexoris bid on the consulting and financial-sector business lots. A positioning that aligns with the make-up of our network, which is mostly made up of consultants who are experts in IT, process and organisational transformation in banking, asset management, securities services and insurance. The other major component of our network is business experts working in front, middle and back office support, in risk or actuarial teams, in consolidation accounting, and more.
The second criterion is service. Beyond the specialisation and depth of the Nexoris network, our team of Business Partners qualifies needs and shortlists profiles that match those needs, sparing client users from drowning in applications that are sometimes loosely related to the brief. It is important for us to keep pairing humans with digital, because matching algorithms alone are not enough.
A listing that drives new product features
Back in 2017, we designed our platform so that clients could post their skill searches directly on it. La Poste group is the first to put that capability into practice. Beyond the purely commercial implications, this opportunity will let us confront these new use cases and the client requirements that follow. Several enhancements are under way to better match La Poste group's expectations: simplifying need creation, smoothing the exchange process with users, giving lead buyers visibility on how the platform is being used. More functional enhancements are coming, for deeper interactions with freelancers and with our IT Services Company and consulting firm partners.
The feedback from working with La Poste group will be very useful to evolve our offering and roll it out more broadly in the future. Other partnership discussions are under way, and we hope to share them soon.
